Ahoy Mateys! Captain Dylan celebrates turning 8 with a pirate adventure party! This event was a last minute request and being that I only had a little over 24 hours to put this together, I think it turned out quite adorable and the kids had an absolute blast!

Under The Sea Soiree
This is a beautiful "Under The Sea" themed party I recently created for my god-daughter, Lauren's 10th birthday celebration! I have always wanted to create a "Nautical" or "Mermaid's Tea By The Sea" party and was absolutely thrilled when Lauren asked if I could create this type of event for her. She had one request though...being that she was turning a whopping 10 years old, LOL!... she asked if I could create a more "grown-up/pre-teen" version (she said, "no Disney Mermaid decorations and no tea cups") So, this is what I created for her and she absolutely loved it!
Here are some gorgeous details from her party:
Lauren's custom made party invitations. I added raffia and seashells on it for an extra pretty touch before mailing them off to her guests.
This is one of my most favorite cake creations to date! To save on time and $$$, I went ahead and ordered a plain 2-tiered cake and then added my own decorating touch to it once it arrived at the party. It's amazing what a box of brown sugar, some seashells & starfishes and a few tropical flowers can do to a cake!
The live goldfish centerpiece was such a hit! It also doubled as a lovely party favor as each guest were given a goldfish to take home in an adorable mini fishbowl at the end of the party!
My starfish chocolate fudge cupcakes...they taste as sweet as they look!

Enchanted Garden Fairy Tea Party
For my daughter's 6th birthday celebration last summer, I created an Enchanted Garden Fairy Tea Party for her and eleven of her closest little fairy friends. We were blessed with the most gorgeous Southern California weather, which made it perfect for me to set up her party amidst the gardens in our backyard. Everything turned out beautifully and I couldn't have been more happier with the outcome...my little sweetheart had the most enchanting time ever!
Here is a look at some of the party details...
The adorable invitation I designed for her. Brianna was thrilled that she was able to help pin the flowers on the invitations before they were delivered to her guests.
A cute little signage I picked up on my way out of HomeGoods one day. I was able to customize it and it looked adorable on our lawn!
My beautiful birthday girl wearing a custom tutu dress I designed and created for her.
Brianna's favorite color is pink, so I incorporated that color into the linens as well as the entire tablescape decor. I added pink feathered boas to the satin chair sashes to give it a little whimsical touch.
A close-up of the table decor. An assortment of silk gerber daisies, tulips and roses were combined with fairy statues, butterflies and birdies to create an enchanted garden setting. I also included an iron bird cage in the center of the table to add to the whimsy feel. A pink paper parasol was the perfect addition to complete the look!
Definitely the sweetest spot of the party =)
A garden birthday cake made with love for my little sweetheart! I decided at the last minute to try out my cake baking skills...to my delight, the cake turned out adorable! I was inspired by the scroll design on the cupcake stand...
My garden fairy cupcakes were a hit with Brianna's little fairy friends!
Chocolate dipped butterfly cookies sprinkled with fairy dust.
Pink fairy tutus, fairy wings and floral halos greeted each of the guests as they arrived to the party.
My birthday girl enjoying tea time with her fairy friends...
A custom menu for my little fairy guests.
Fairy Fruit Sticks
The little fairies had the most enchanting time working in the "Secret Garden" to create their very own beautiful fairy flowers...
Happy Birthday to my sweet princess!

Shanghai Garden Tea Party
Since this is my first attempt at the "blogging world", I am trying to play catch up and wanted to share a few parties that I've designed in the past. One of my favorites is this Asian-inspired tea party I created for my daugther, Brianna's 5th birthday celebration. Inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom gardens found in the Orient, I used different shades of pink linens and incorporated various paper lanterns and paper parasol umbrellas to create the perfect setting!
Guest tables were set underneath a tented canopy in our backyard. We were blessed with the most perfect weather!
The bamboo trees in our backyard worked out as a perfect photo backdrop! Here's a photo of my beautiful little birthday girl!
The cherry blossom tea set complimented the table setting perfectly! Check out the the napkin holder...it's in a shape of a traditional Chinese dress, so darn cute! (Tea set purchased at Wing Hop Fung, located in Chinatown, Los Angeles and the napkin holder was purchased at CostPlus World Market)
An assortment of paper lanterns and paper parasol umbrellas hung beautifully from above. I ordered these items online from: http://asianideas.com/index.html
The gorgeous cherry blossom birthday cake (designed by me and brought so beautifully to life by Tasty Bakery of San Diego)
A simple, yet elegant centerpiece! (Potted orchid from Trader Joe's, wooden basket from Pier 1 Imports and decorative Asian fan I picked up in Chinatown)
Seating fit for an empress! (Large asian fan purchased at Wing Hop Fung and decorative pillows were purchased at Marshall's)
As each guest arrived, they were greeted with an assortment of gorgeous Chinese dresses to choose from and were each presented with a paper parasol umbrella by the birthday girl!
The sweets table which featured delicious chocolate dipped fortune cookies!
